Expected duration: less than 1 week We're seeking an experienced GA4 & GTM specialist to investigate and resolve tracking errors in Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The tags have been set up via Google Tag Manager (GTM) as of May 2024 and are showing correctly in GTM, but we're encountering discrepancies in the reporting. We suspect a plugin code conflict, potentially with the Termageddon user consent script, but need expert insight to confirm and resolve the issue.
Key Issues: eCommerce Tracking: Transactions in GA4 do not align with actual orders on the website, with tracking seemingly stopping at the basket/checkout stage. Script Conflict: Although we’re using GTM for the data layer without any plugins feeding in the scripts, there could be conflicts affecting the GA4 events. We plan to implement a native code solution by coding scripts directly into the site's headers.
Requirements: Proficiency in GA4, GTM, and custom event tag setups. Experience with eCommerce tracking, specifically with basket/checkout stage tracking. Ability to troubleshoot potential conflicts, especially with user consent scripts like Termageddon. Availability to start immediately and complete the fix within 2-3 working days.
