A e-commerce start-up based in New York requires assistance with uploading product data onto their newly created Magento web store. The business has recently onboarded 1500 unique items across 50 different categories which needs to be systematically added to the online catalog along with relevant details like name, description, pricing, images and specifications.
The candidate must have working knowledge of Magento administration dashboard and proficiency in creating and managing products, attributes, categories and files. Bulk uploading options need to be explored to expedite the data migration process. Simultaneously new products are also being reviewed and approved daily which requires periodically syncing the latest feed.
Structuring content and organizing assets neatly according to the taxonomy is imperative to optimize search and filter functionalities for shoppers. Google XML Sitemap should also be generated and submitted post upload. The freelancer will work closely with internal product team to ensure error-free transition of information from spreadsheets to e-commerce platform. Periodic status updates via email along with screenshots of completed work is expected.
Mastery of HTML, CSS, PHP is a plus. Candidates experienced with Magento version 2.x and passionate about e-commerce will be given preference.
