We seek an experienced MongoDB consultant to optimize indexing strategies for various collections in our on-premise MongoDB deployment. Our data architecture currently supports high transaction volume for certain services but query performance could be improved. You will analyze data access patterns and propose customized index configurations to expedite read operations across interrelated document sets. In-depth knowledge of MongoDB indexing internals is essential to determine the most space and time-efficient indexing solutions. Candidate must have proven experience designing indexes for complex datasets containing nested and array fields. The goal is to minimize index storage overhead while maximizing query selectivity. Brief unit and integration tests will be required to validate performance gains. You will work closely with our database administrators and application developers to implement index changes seamlessly without affecting ongoing operations. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate technical recommendations clearly are important. Proficiency in MongoDB Compass or similar tooling for index analysis is preferred.
