I am seeking a skilled community manager to expand and optimize my local neighborhood recommendation group on Facebook. The group, called Islington Recommends Directory, serves to connect residents of Islington, London by sharing recommendations for local businesses, services, and events.
As the group has grown in members, I want to take a step back from active management and hand over the reins to a professional community builder. Your main responsibilities will include identifying and vetting new members to join the group from within the local area, with a focus on small independent companies. You will reach out and encourage relevant local businesses to claim their free business page within the group.
You will also develop and execute engagement strategies to keep current members actively involved through posts, discussions and polls. Community management duties will include monitoring and moderating member interactions, addressing any issues that arise, and enforcing group rules respectfully. Analytics tracking and regular reports on growth metrics and member demographics will allow us to refine our approach over time.
The goal is to establish the group as a true neighborhood resource and become a valued online meeting place for Islington residents. If you have proven experience managing online groups and communities, I believe you are well suited for this independent community manager position.
