We’re looking for an experienced Freelance .NET Developer to join our extended team and provide ongoing maintenance and development support for an existing website. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, proactive, and comfortable collaborating with our team to implement improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the website remains fast, secure, and scalable.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining and updating an existing website built on the .NET framework. - Identifying and fixing bugs, performance issues, and technical glitches. - Implementing new features and functionality as required. - Enhancing the website’s performance, security, and user experience. - Collaborating with our in-house project managers and design team to deliver high-quality solutions. - Providing regular updates on progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Strong experience with .NET Framework / .NET Core ✅ Solid understanding of C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API ✅ Front-end knowledge: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery ✅ Familiarity with SQL Server and database management ✅ Experience with version control systems (Git preferred) ✅ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision ✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail ✅ Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude ✅ UK-based is preferred for time zone alignment and occasional calls ✅ Previous experience in maintaining and improving existing systems is a big plus
Nice-to-Haves:
-Familiarity with CMS platforms built on .NET - Knowledge of website performance optimisation techniques - Experience working with digital or creative agencies
Project Details:
- Immediate start with an initial focus on maintenance tasks - Scope to expand into feature development and larger improvement projects - Flexible working hours, but ability to respond promptly to support requests is important - Freelance / hourly rate (please provide your rates when applying)
