Project Description: We are currently selling a range of workwear trousers that have received feedback regarding a snug fit — they are reportedly coming up small. We are seeking an experienced pattern maker to review our existing patterns and make precise adjustments to improve the overall fit, allowing for more room without compromising the garment’s structure or style.
The work will involve: Reviewing existing graded patterns for three trouser styles. Two of these trousers are identical in cut, differing only in pocket configuration. Making necessary pattern adjustments to increase comfort and sizing consistency. Ensuring changes are production-ready and align with industry standards for workwear durability and movement.
Requirements: Proven experience in pattern making for workwear or functional garments. Strong understanding of garment grading, fit adjustments, and technical construction. Ability to work from existing digital patterns (preferably in .dxf, Gerber, or similar format). Experience with size chart refinement and creating spec sheets is a bonus.
Deliverables: Revised patterns for the three trouser designs (two sharing a base pattern). Clear documentation of changes made. Suggestions (if any) for further improvements based on your professional insight.
We’re ideally looking for someone who can turn this around quickly and is open to potential long-term collaboration as we develop further products. |
