I need to convert a studio to a one bedroom flat in the UK and make it compliant to fire regulations. The issue, as I understand it, is that the bedroom will be an interior room and open to a open plan kitchen, and this is the fire escape. The bedroom, however, will have a large juliet balcony and makybe the window can be used as a fire escape? Or a sprinkler system?
