About Me I run Karmic Compass, a premium Jyotish (Vedic astrology) consultancy brand focused on helping professionals, entrepreneurs, and HNIs with clarity, timing, and decision-making. My content is aimed at an international audience (India, US, Europe) and I want to build a clean, modern, professional presence on YouTube and Instagram. What I Need I am looking for a skilled, reliable video editor who can work with me on a part-time basis (~1 hour/day, ongoing) to edit: YouTube videos (8–10 mins, talking-head style with clean cuts, subtitles, light B-roll) YouTube Shorts (30–60s highlights) Instagram Reels (45–90s edits, vertical format, subtitles, hooks) Responsibilities Edit raw talking-head recordings into professional, engaging videos. Add captions/subtitles (must be clean, premium fonts, easy to read). Create engaging hooks in the first 3 seconds (text overlays, zooms, punch-ins). Repurpose long-form content into short-form reels/shorts with strong narrative flow. Maintain a consistent brand look (intro/outro, fonts, colors, watermark/logo). Add light background music where needed (tasteful, not distracting). Deliver edits within 48–72 hours of receiving raw footage. Style I’m Looking For Minimalist, premium, modern. Similar to business/consulting YouTube channels, not flashy entertainment edits. Smooth cuts, subtle transitions, no gimmicky effects. Tools & Skills Required Strong skills in Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve (or equivalent). Ability to edit for vertical & horizontal formats. Experience editing for YouTube + Instagram. Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and attention to detail. Bonus: Ability to suggest improvements for thumbnails and SEO-friendly titles. Deliverables (per week approx.) 1 long YouTube video (8–10 mins) 2–3 Shorts (YT) 2–3 Reels (IG) Engagement ~1 hour/day, ongoing (flexible, but must meet deadlines). Clear communication via WhatsApp/Email. Pay will be per hour with potential for longer-term partnership as the brand grows.
