I am seeking an experienced research professional or consultant to help identify and evaluate potential businesses (dental practices) for acquisition. This is a research-only role — not a brokerage or sales position. The focus is on market mapping, due diligence, and shortlisting opportunities based on defined criteria.
About Me
I am a healthcare professional based in South East England, currently exploring the purchase of an established or semi-established dental practice that aligns with my vision for a modern, patient-centred clinic. While experience in healthcare or dentistry is welcome, it is not essential — the key requirement is strong analytical and research capability.
Target Region
The focus area is the East London / Essex corridor, ideally within or around: Hornchurch, Romford, Upminster, and Wanstead. Proximity, local demographics, and accessibility are important considerations.
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
Conduct open-source and data-based research to identify suitable businesses within the target region that may be potential acquisition opportunities.
Gather and summarise key details for each opportunity, including:
Business type and size (approximate number of rooms, staff, etc.)
Ownership or lease information where available
Online footprint and reputation (e.g. Google, CQC, NHS or review platforms)
Location suitability and local competition
Indications of whether the business might be open to sale or partnership
Compile a shortlist of 5–10 potential opportunities with supporting information and evidence.
Provide a summary report outlining findings, insights, and next steps for outreach or verification.
Deliverables
A concise research report (Word or PDF) summarising market context and identified opportunities.
A spreadsheet of shortlisted businesses, including location, key data points, and relevant links.
Recommendations for further due diligence or contact strategy.
Ideal Candidate
Strong research, data collection, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to find information using open sources, business directories, public records, and creative search techniques.
Capable of presenting findings clearly and concisely.
Independent, discreet, and reliable.
(Experience in healthcare or property research is a bonus but not required.)
