Expected duration: less than 1 week I have a basic concept for a portable microcontroller based I/O device. I have the schematics and design data what is shown on the pictures in KiCAD format.
The device consist a display, LEDs, rotary encoder, a potentiometer, buttons, some FET based screw terminals, a serial output, a light sensor, a microphone and a speaker, and a BLE UART bridge (JDY-08). This is a 2 PCB sandwich design. It is a 4 layer design right now.
I have a mechanical concept, but the schematics contains some serious errors.
TODO: - schematics should be checked and errors should be fixed - the screw terminal is too tiny, a bigger one should be used, the counts of the terminals can be reduced to 2 - the documentation of the JDY-08 says the UART is TTL level, while the rp2350 based microcontroller is 3v3. If necessary additional interfacing circuit should be added. (critical) - Display doesn't fits well in the cutout, the size of the cutout should be increased, but then the screw holes will be critically close to the edge of the display cutout. Alternative fixation concept is needed for the display. - The photoresistor shares a GPIO with a pin on the 30 pin GPIO output. If we remove a screw terminal the freed up GPIO pin can be used for the photoresistor. - The MCU should be secured against backpowering via the other USB port. - General cleanup, routing improvements, etc. - If possible the design should be modified so, that JLCPCB can solder the SMD parts at least. (less important)
The ideal candidate have experience with : - microcontroller based designs - creating schematics - have experiences with the JDY-08 module
