We are looking for an experienced WordPress freelancer to refresh and modernise an existing charity website. The site already has relevant content and a solid structure, but it needs a more welcoming visual style, a clearer user journey, and a stronger volunteer section.
We are looking for someone who can start the project ASAP, but there is no fixed deadline.
The site must be built using the Impreza theme and WPBakery.
The project includes the following aspects:
Design Refresh • Create a more caring, friendly, and supportive look and feel. • Retain existing branding and logo, but introduce improved accent colours. • Use available photos (from social channels) to make the site feel more human and inviting. We can also get further imagery from the client if you have any specific requests. • Update typography, spacing, and layout to create a clean, modern design. • This includes refreshing approximately 6 existing pages (e.g. services, volunteers, contact, etc.). Exact list will be confirmed at project start. • Create a fundraising page
Homepage Redesign • Create a more intuitive, user focused homepage. • Include two clear routes: How can we help you? (or similar wording) How can you help us? (or similar wording) • Add clear call to actions/sections that guide visitors to key pages such as services, donations, volunteers, and events.
Page Layout Updates • Improve the overall layout and visuals of the existing pages using WPBakery. • Ensure consistency of spacing, colour, and structure across the site. • No copywriting required, but some minor content rearrangement may be needed.
Volunteer Page Upgrade • Redesign this page to better promote the benefits of becoming a volunteer. • Make the structure clearer and more persuasive using improved layout and design. • We will provide any updated wording if needed.
Fundraising page creation • Create a new page that lists all the ways they fundraise and how people can donate and support the charity. This could include nice visual links to paypal, just giving and have other space to display ways that they fundraise such as their vinted page.
