Location: UK based preferred (for easy filming in Scotland/London), but open to anyone passionate.
Job Description:
I'm David, 61, from Stranraer, Scotland. Dementia, vascular disease, depression – the lot. Some days the fog's thick, memory's shot, energy's zero. I'm rough, unkempt, grumpy, swear like a trooper, and I'm starting a luxury overnight coach service from Glasgow to London called Spirit of Scotland Coaches (launch July 2026).
No money. No buses. No staff. No website content. Proper zero. But the dream is real: adults-only luxury coaches – deep purple interiors with gold and my Spirit of Scotland tartan accents, hostess service, complimentary whisky-essence dark chocolate ("DramBar Club"), rotating merch surprises, no kids, no alcohol, no rowdy behaviour.
Proper Scottish hospitality on wheels – arrive refreshed, not knackered.
The story is me – #DementiaMan – with my mongrel pug that looks like a gargoyle and my beautiful cat called Kitten (so I remember the name). Raw, honest videos of the highs/lows, dementia fog days, banter, stress, laughs – the full unfiltered journey from nothing to (hopefully) empire – or crash and burn.
Either way, it's gritty, honest, exciting Scottish underdog gold.
I need a film maker/documentary maker to follow the journey from now to launch and beyond. Phone footage to start, proper gear as it grows. Behind-the-scenes: me visiting coach refitters, chocolate factory, uniform fittings, social media chaos, the pets "helping", dementia days, the transformation if it works.
Low hourly rate for the initial proposal/setup (2–4 hours total – e.g. story outline, filming plan). The ongoing filming/editing is on spec – no upfront pay beyond that, but if the footage turns into something (YouTube series, documentary, viral clips, TV pitch, whatever), we split any money fair (50/50 or negotiable). You win exposure, portfolio gold, and cash if it hits big. I win the story told right.
If I fail spectacularly, you still have a powerful short film about grit, dementia, dreams – festivals love that stuff. You win either way.
