Project overview We’re looking for a strong specialist to handle ongoing administration and development of an online store with a catalog of ~14,000 products. We need someone who has already managed large eCommerce stores, understands the complexity of scale, and can run a reliable process without disappearing. We are operating as a project team representing the end client (you’ll work operationally with us). Access and tasks will be provided via an agreed process. Core responsibilities (ongoing) Catalog & content ops: bulk edits, import/export, attributes, variations, categories, filters, SEO fields, templates. Store technical health: troubleshooting, error/log monitoring, updates/compatibility, backups (based on the process in place). Performance & stability: basic optimization and monitoring of Core Web Vitals / site performance (within your scope). Technical SEO: redirects, canonicals, pagination, indexation, sitemap/robots, duplicates (execution and/or task management). Integrations & feeds: Merchant Center / product feeds / aggregators (depending on current setup), diagnosing disapprovals/issues. Analytics sanity checks: tracking/events/tags (GTM/GA), basic validation. Communication: short weekly updates + clear documentation of completed work. Working style & reliability (important) Per Hour engagement (long-term). Availability: respond within 1 business day (ideally faster) and notify in advance about any downtime/holidays. We keep all progress, agreements, and deliverables documented in WorkStream (for both sides). Required experience Real experience managing large eCommerce catalogs (10k+ SKUs) — not “built a site once”, but ongoing operations and growth. Confident with bulk catalog operations and preventing catalog chaos. Strong understanding of technical eCommerce SEO and catalog architecture. Careful with access/security; understands update risks; can implement changes safely (staging/backup/rollback where applicable). Nice to have Feeds/Merchant Center expertise, schema/structured data, import automation, APIs, Git workflows. Ability to coordinate small subcontractors (designer/content/dev) if needed. Selection process Short chat interview. Paid 1–2 hour test: quick audit with 3–5 key risks/issues + a plan for the first 2 weeks (no sensitive access required). If successful — start with a one-month pilot. In your proposal, please answer (in order): 1–2 eCommerce projects you managed (catalog size, responsibilities, duration). What you personally handled: catalog / tech SEO / performance / feeds / integrations. 1–2 examples of weekly recurring tasks you typically deliver. How you manage work to avoid chaos and “disappearing”. Your hourly rate + availability (hours/week, (!)timezone(!)).
