I need a book keeper who is UK based that can assist with preparing my small limited company VAT returns and EOFY accounts.
I was working with an oversea's accountant who wasn't great. The business because VAT registered in December and is an events agency business, supplying events to venue's in London.
We got busy between November - January but since end of January, we have not been trading and we are currently on a pause.
I need someone who can help to bring the books up to speed, before I decide what the next steps are for the business over the next few weeks.
I also need assistance with my personal tax return because again, my virtual accountant who was based in another country assisted but despite paying him to help me with that and him assuring me that my tax returns were completed (SATR), I have just had a fine for £100 for late filing and then also, some other fines for historic delays.
As such, I am no longer working with said accountant as I cannot trust his skill. I need a book keeper rather than chartered accountant for this project, someone who is passionate about finance who can help us do what we need to do independently.
I have an assistant who will be working with me to help ensure things are where we need them to be.
I want to de-register for VAT because the business is no longer trading and it doesn't make sense to continue to be VAT registered.
The business is persuing legal action against a third party company, due to them breaching a contract, hence why we have stopped trading and as such, until that is resolved, I don't want the company to close however, due to the bare minimum being done up to this point, quick action is needed.
